The current generation of youth is the largest in history, with as many as 1.2 billion people between the ages of 15 and 24. African youth account for 226 million 19% of that global population.
The annual investment needed between 2015 and 2040 in all sectors of power production in Africa ranges between $33.4 billion to $63 billion per year.

Africa has 480 million youth today and that figure is projected to grow to 850 million by 2050.
